Advancing excellence in assessment

Our assessors are the cream of the crop and they work across the country to deliver seamless apprenticeship assessment experiences to providers, employers and apprentices.

The apprenticeship assessment reforms are designed to make the apprenticeship assessment system more flexible, streamlined and effective. They aim to create a better experience for apprentices and employers whilst maintaining quality and rigour.

From the moment they were announced, the reforms have been at the very top of the agenda for TQUK, and we’ve been actively listening to the thoughts of our customers and helping shape positive change. Now we’re thrilled to be able to show you our new approach to apprenticeship assessment and what it means for you.

At a glance

Assessments are attempted throughout the process (where appropriate) and not just at the end.

Centres can deliver and mark some assessments, and employers verify behaviours.

Assessment Organisations (AOs) can offer two options: AO-only assessment or a blended approach.
