They can work in a generalised role, where they provide support across a range of HR areas, or a specialist role, where they focus on a specific area, such as resourcing or organisational development. Whichever path they take, people in this role must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and be able to make strong recommendations about varied and sometimes unpredictable situations.
