Early Intervention Practitioners work across statutory and voluntary organisations to provide early support for individuals of all ages. They help people overcome challenges affecting their daily lives, such as addiction, behavioural issues, or learning difficulties, by offering practical assistance, emotional support, and impartial guidance. Their goal is to prevent problems from escalating into more complex situations by providing timely, voluntary interventions and coordinating with families, communities, and other professionals.
End-Point Assessment Components
To complete their End-Point Assessment, Early Intervention Practitioner apprentices must achieve a pass or distinction in their presentation with questions and professional discussion underpinned by portfolio.
-
In the presentation with questions, the apprentice has the opportunity to demonstrate the KSBs mapped to this assessment method by delivering a presentation to the End-Point Assessor. The presentation and questions must last 45 minutes, with the presentation taking 30 minutes and questioning lasting 15 minutes. The End-Point Assessor must ask at least four questions after the presentation.
-
The professional discussion is a two-way discussion involving both the End-Point Assessor and the Apprentice. It lasts 60 minutes and the End-Point Assessor asks at least 10 questions, all of which are about certain aspects of the occupation. The apprentice may have access to their portfolio during the assessment.
