National Career Development Month

November isn’t just about crisp fall leaves and pumpkin spice lattes – it's officially National Career Development Month! Join us at Training Qualifications UK as we celebrate the amazing journey of personal and professional growth and career development.

At TQUK, we don’t just prioritise career development – we live and breathe it. It’s not just a checkbox; it’s one of our core values, not just for our staff but also for the learners and apprentices embarking on their journey with TQUK.

Why is this so important to us? Simply put, we’re firm believers in the power of investment. By showering our employees with opportunities to grow, we’re not just boosting individual potential but creating a powerhouse of skill and motivation that keeps the TQUK engine revving.

Meet Polly Gilkes, one of our incredible End-Point Assessors. Beyond her role at TQUK, Polly is not just a mentor to two individuals, but she’s also a dedicated guide for aspiring runners, aiding them in reaching their goals. Polly believes in the power of goal setting and breaking down objectives into bite-sized, achievable steps. At our core, we foster a culture that urges our staff to constantly evolve, both within and beyond their role at TQUK.

Our Lead Assessment Developer, Janet Crook, is also embarking on her career development journey by diving into the A103 Cambridge Assessment Introducing Data Literary next week. That’s not all...she also recently completed the Understanding Autism course with Open University. This not only equips her with the tools to better support staff but also deepens her understanding of crafting accessible assessments for learners. These tales of growth are just glimpses into some of our staff's development, we don’t know about you but we’re proud to have a team of such talented individuals!

But hold up, it’s not only about us. When it comes to our learners and apprentices, we’re not just about clocking in and out - we’re on a mission to create an environment that crafts a career journey. Think of it as a support system, we want learners to enjoy their time with us and know they have the support to take those next big steps.

We don’t just talk the talk; we’re strutting the walk when it comes to guiding our staff and learners in their career development. It all boils down to one magic word – support. For example, our customers each get their own dedicated Account Manager who is there to answer any questions and to be that important point of contact. For our staff, it’s about bespoke care. We host regular 121s, ensuring they’re informed and constantly in the loop about their development and next steps.

Let's continue into 2024 with growth, support, and unstoppable momentum as we pave the way to success.
