Here at Training Qualifications UK, we love developing qualifications that will help further your learner’s knowledge and skills to help them to progress in their career.

That’s why January’s Qualification of the Month is the TQUK Level 4 Award in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (RQF).

With the help of unmanned aircraft systems both public and private organisations have an opportunity to carry out tasks faster, safer, cheaper, and with less impact on the environment than traditional methods.

This qualification will allow learners to gain the knowledge and skills needed to fly an unmanned aircraft system, so they can take to the sky in no time. The qualification is aligned with the requirements stipulated by the CAA for their General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GCV), and the content of the course will help prepare for the CAA Assessment.

Research shows that 650,000 jobs could be associated with an economy that fully adapts drones, by the year 2030.

Our aim is to support businesses and Government bodies in getting the most out of unmanned aircraft system technologies. Unmanned aircraft pilots are required to operate in a range of job roles, industries and environments, such as:

  • Drone Remote Pilot
  • Photographers
  • Scaffolders
  • Surveyors
  • Engineers
  • Roofers
  • Emergency Services

RUAS, is one of the leading innovators of commercial drone services in the industry, recently joined TQUK as a Recognised Centre to deliver the TQUK Level 4 Award in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (RQF) and said: We are pleased to announce that RUAS is now a recognised Training Qualifications UK Centre and are approved to deliver the TQUK Level 4 Award for Commercial Drone Pilots (RQF). We would like to thank the TQUK Team for their support during the onboarding process.”

Upon completion, learners can progress onto:

  • TQUK Level 5 Award for an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations Manager (RQF).

Total Qualification Time

Total Qualification Time is compromised of Guided Learning Hours and an estimate of the number of hours a learner is likely to spend in preparation, study, or any other learning, including assessment. The Total Qualification Time for this qualification is 60 hours.

How to start delivering this qualification as a Centre:

To be able to offer any TQUK qualification, each Centre must be recognised by TQUK, and meet qualification approval criteria. If you would like to start offering the TQUK Level 4 Award in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (RQF) we would love to talk more!
