The days of a ‘career for life’ are numbered. Most of the current generation will hold jobs with a variety of employers and move across different employment sectors throughout their working lives.

Training Qualifications UK has a number of awards designed to help people learn and develop key life skills in preparation for young people joining the workforce. The awards, which include Volunteering, helps young people to add further knowledge and skills before embarking on the career of their choosing whilst providing a range of skills which can be applied to multiple career paths.

Our Employment Skills sector includes qualifications in Life Skills, Volunteering, Understanding Employment, Business and Enterprise and Job Search and Employment Potential.

TQUK Level 1 Award in Job Search and Employment Potential (RQF) icon

The purpose of this qualification is to introduce learners to a wide range of skills which will support them when seeking employment and once they are employed. A wide range of options are available so that the content can be tailored to the needs of individual learners.

TQUK Level 1 Award in Managing Personal Finances (RQF) icon

Designed for learners who are looking for an introduction into managing personal finances within the employment skills sector, this level 1 award will provide them with the key skills they need to be successful, including the identifying problems which may occur if expenditure is greater than income and stating the advantages and disadvantages of different types of accounts.

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners' knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to uphold British values in their current or future role. This includes developing an understanding of the effects of extremism, radicalisation and terrorism. The aims are to promote equality, diversity and social inclusion in the workplace to support the Government's agenda on tackling radicalisation and extremism.
