Health and Social Care Level 2 - Adult Social Care

The Health and Social Care Level 2 Apprenticeship allows learners to gain broad-based training in the chosen occupational area as well as providing a good knowledge base of the sector as a whole, and work experience that leads to competancy in the workplace and transferable skills.

Specification Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)

Learners working or looking to further their career in health and social care. This qualification will develop skills and knowledge relating to person centred approaches to care, communication and personal development.

Specification  Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF)

Learners working, or looking to work, in a variety of job roles in the adult health and social care sector. This qualification develops knowledge and understanding of a range of key issues, including: equality and diversity, safeguarding, duty of care, health and safety, person centred approaches and handling information. 

Specification Level 2 Award in Employment Responsibilities & Rights in Health, Social Care, Children & Young People's Settings (QCF)

Learners wishing to develop knowledge and understanding of the statutory responsibilities and rights of employees and employers within own area of work agreed ways of working that protect own relationship with employer, how own role fits within the wider context of the sector, career pathways available within own and related sectors

This apprenticeship pathway is suitable for those working as healthcare assistants or healthcare support workers.

Specification Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)

Learners working or looking to further their career in health and social care. This qualification will develop skills and knowledge relating to person centred approaches to care, communication and personal development.

Health and Social Care Level 3 - Adult Social Care

This apprenticeship is suitable for those working in lone worker or supervisory care roles in social care settings.

Specification Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)

Learners working in a variety of roles in health, social care or children and young people’s settings whose job role is within, for example, a residential setting, primary care environment, day services, personal assistance and domiciliary services. 

Specification Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF)

Learners working in health and social care who wish to progress and take on additional responsibilities. This qualification will develop skills and knowledge relating to person centred approaches to care, communication and personal development.

This qualification provides learners with a huge choice of optional units allowing them to tailor their learning to suit. It is for individuals looking to develop the knowledge and skills essential for a successful career in Health and Social Care.

This qualification provides opportunity to build upon existing skills and knowledge and allows for specialisation with an array of optional units. Learners are likely to have already undertaken the Level 2 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support or to have some experience working in the sector.
